ah, thanks for a day off.
As I read annarbor.com’s minute-to-minute accounts of Black Friday at the malls and big box stores, all I can say is I am thankful to have a day off and today not be the least bit concerned about holiday shoppers. The media makes way too big a deal of this whole holiday shopping thing. Yes we retailers need strong holiday sales, but hourly reports of what’s happening in the corporate retail world is overkill, is it not?
Yes, I am thankful for a day off in the middle of the week because starting tomorrow, I too will be in holiday shopper mindset-overload. But not today!
Lucy is thankful for a day off as well. She loves being home doing her two favorite things. Sleeping next to me on the sofa . . . .
Watching for squirrels at her backdoor.
Ah, life is good! And I am thankful for that.
